This is how Meyer choose her character's names...

Stephenie Meyer says:

"It took me a while to find names for my anonymous duo. For my vampire (who I was in love with from day one) I decided to use a name that had once been considered romantic, but had fallen out of popularity for decades. Charlotte Bronte's Mr. Rochester and Jane Austen's Mr. Ferrars were the characters that led me to the name Edward. I tried it on for size, and found that it fit well. My female lead was harder. Nothing I named her seemed just right. After spending so much time with her, I loved her like a daughter, and no name was good enough. Finally, inspired by that love, I gave her the name I was saving for my daughter, who had never shown up and was unlikely to put in an appearance at this point: Isabella. Huzzah! Edward and Bella were named. For the rest of the characters, I did a lot of searching in old census records, looking for popular names in the times that they'd been born."

Seriously. Found it on www.babynames.com/character-names.php.

Now I know that Stephenie Meyer was really pretending to be Bella so she could be in love with Edward...wow...*shakes head sadly.

Isabella Swan also could be considered Beautiful Swan, and the last name Swan is Mary-Sue for Clumsy.

Hate it.

Hahaha.
This is what you call a Failure Face. Notice how it has failure written all over it. Notice the deep lines, the dull, vacant look in the eyes. Yes, I would say this is one of the finest examples of a Failure Face that you're liable to see for a while.

I've read that before. I'm pretty sure it's on her site.
The beautiful swan thing gets me every time and makes me think of the encylopedia dramatica entry. I seriously LOL every time I see that page...*sighs in rememberence*

Last week one of my friends was arguing that she spent 5 years on Twilight and how she worked so hard. I went on SM's webpage and found the line where she says something like "Twilight was dreamed, written, and ready to be published within 6 months," and I sent that to her. Thats how I got to reading the rest of the site and laughing at its hiliarity.

I think SMeyer should have been more careful. Bella's initials are BS.
